The West Valley Central School District is seeking a passionate, student-centered Mathematics Teacher certified in Mathematics 7-12 to join our dedicated faculty. Job Qualifications

Responsibilities Include

• Teach mathematics courses in grades 7-12 based on district needs.
• Design engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, problem solving, and mathematical reasoning.
• Connect mathematics to authentic, real-world applications and interdisciplinary learning.
• Utilize formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student growth.
• Differentiate instruction to support all learners.
• Foster a classroom culture built on high expectations, collaboration, and student engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional learning, and school initiatives.
• Support the district's vision of preparing students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens.

Qualifications

• New York State Certification in Mathematics 7-12 (required)
• Strong knowledge of the New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
